Frame Your Story Simply: Sarah Collins

On the road with photographer Sarah Collins.

Adventure is a big part of your photography. What’s the best place you’ve been for taking pictures?

The unexpected between places en route to the planned destinations.

What did you learn about photography this year?

That sand is a pain to get out of your camera (and even more maddening to edit out of your photos).

What’s the best photo you didn’t take?

Every image that Gregory Colbert has ever taken.

Digital or film?

Film will always take more skill, be more exciting, and appear more authentic.

Serendipity or careful planning?

Serendipity. When you are prepared by simply having a camera on hand and your eyes wide open, the good bits of life seem to find you.
